Described by Newsweek as ‘one of the coolest cities in the world’ Istanbul is set to become one of the most dynamic, diverse and emerging cities on the planet.

Economic reforms have seen a dramatic upturn in Istanbul’s fortunes and a 2,500-year-old time-warp has morphed into a booming metropolis, where businesses are flourishing and Turkey’s great and good are living the dream in an extraordinary cultural melting pot.

Nowhere is this better exemplified than in Beyoğlu, an area characterised by the city’s grand 19th century apartment buildings, new wave fusion restaurants and designer shops. Fifteen years ago it was a no-go area but now, at the heart of Istanbul’s renaissance, it is an area abuzz with street cafés and designer studios.
