The Area

Lüleci Hendek 54, located in the Istanbul neighbourhood of Galata and built in the early 20th century, reflects the architectural characteristics of that time with a majestic front façade, high ceilings and a magnificent view of Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet peninsula, the Princes’ Islands and Üsküdar. Lüleci Hendek 54 is situated next to Saint Benoit French Lycee on Lüleci Hendek Street, which winds down the hill from the Galata Tower to Karaköy. While the original façade is preserved, all of the doors, woodwork and flooring have been carefully restored to reflect the original craftsmanship.
